Computers might be new but some of the very beginnings were developed almost 200 years ago by Ada Lovelace. Ada Lovelace was a trailblazer, born in 1815 (Wait, they didn’t have computers then!), she used her incredible imagination to write what would become the world’s first programming language. She was a poet, a mathematician and a woman.
All of this is part of the Academy for Enterprising Girls. An exciting new program for young Australian girls to encourage you to develop your innovation skills, solve problems and discover the fun in problem-solving.
At the Academy, we believe EVERY girl is enterprising and has the creative spirit to make the same impact as Ada Lovelace. Who knows what the future could bring.
So in honour of the recently celebrated Ada Lovelace Day, we’ve teamed up with Rebel Girls to give away 200 double book packs to bring you the latest Rebel Girls books - HOT off the press before anyone else.
