At the Academy for Enterprising Girls (AEG), we’re continually inspired by the passion, creativity, and ambition our young members bring to their projects. Recently, three exceptional Year 4 students from North Ainslie Primary School in Canberra – Summer Curle, Eliza Nelson, and Eva Glowacki – took things to the next level, creating a project so impressive that it captured the attention of none other than Australia’s Governor-General.
Every Wednesday, these three dedicate their lunchtime to working on their AEG project, driven by a shared goal to learn more about female entrepreneurship. As part of their Girl Founder Inspiration assignment, they had the remarkable opportunity to interview Australia’s Governor-General, Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC.
The Governor-General was very impressed by these young leaders and took to Instagram to share her admiration, saying, “Today, you inspire me. There is nothing that you can’t do now, and I am so excited to see what you do.” This powerful endorsement from one of Australia’s most respected leaders is a testament to the girls’ dedication and the incredible potential within all young girls!
In addition to the interview, Summer, Eliza, and Eva channelled their inspiration into a fantastic slide deck, which they entered into AEG’s Idea of the Month competition. Each of these young changemakers has her own dreams – Summer wants to be a scientist, Eliza aspires to play soccer for the Matildas, and Eva envisions a career working with wildlife or in libraries. Their Governor-General-inspired project is just the beginning of their journey in entrepreneurship and leadership – you go girls’!
We’re thrilled to celebrate their hard work and share their inspiring slide deck with you – look here to see the creativity and vision of these future leaders.
Congratulations to Summer, Eliza, and Eva for your incredible work. We are proud of you and can’t wait to see you soar. Keep reaching for the stars!
