Isabella O’Sullivan Crowned Enterprising Girl of the Year 2024!

Our Enterprising Girl of the Year 2024

Isabella O’Sullivan from Charters Towers in Queensland has been crowned 2024 Enterprising Girl of the Year! At just 13, she’s already making waves with her innovative business idea, Moisture Master, which tackles sustainability and efficiency in farming – a perfect fusion of her passion for agriculture and forward-thinking solutions.

Highlights

Isabella’s big moment came on Wednesday at our ‘big sister’ program’s Enterprising ME’s Kickstarter Challenge Grand Final at Parliament House. She wowed the audience and judges with her confident and graceful pitch for Moisture Master and was awarded the coveted Academy for Enterprising Girls trophy by Her Excellency the Honourable Ms. Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia. It was truly a milestone moment for Isabella!

When asked how she felt after the event, Isabella said, “Well, my face hurts from smiling so much!”

Following her award, Isabella had the exciting opportunity to meet Jim Chalmers, Treasurer of Australia, where she shared her bold vision for the future of agriculture and the potential impact of Moisture Master.

The Impact

Beyond her impressive business skills, Isabella is also a proud champion of the Academy for Enterprising Girls at her school, where she inspires other young women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. We’re thrilled to celebrate Isabella O’Sullivan as the Enterprising Girl of the Year 2024 and can’t wait to see where her entrepreneurial journey takes her next!

Looking Ahead

A huge congratulations to all the incredible girls who entered the competition! Each of you showed remarkable passion, creativity, and courage, and you’ve inspired us with your entrepreneurial spirit.

The future is bright with young women like you leading the way, and we can’t wait to see where your journeys take you.

“I believe what makes you entrepreneurial is those big ideas you come up with at school, that's what you can turn into a business idea.” - Isabella O'Sullivan
