At just 10 years old, Ayla is proving that big ideas can come from small but mighty dreamers. As the founder of Grounded Beauty, she’s on a mission to make the world a little cleaner, greener, and more beautiful – one coffee ground at a time.
Grounded Beauty transforms leftover coffee grounds from local cafés into fun, natural, and eco-friendly beauty products like soaps, scrubs, and lip balms. Each handmade product smells amazing and helps reduce waste and promote sustainable living.
“I started Grounded Beauty because making coffee from farm to table uses lots of energy and I wanted to stop coffee waste going to landfill,” says Ayla.
“I collect used coffee grounds and turn them into handmade soaps, scrubs and lip balms in recyclable packaging designed by me. It’s coffee for your skin that is also good for the planet!”
But Ayla’s impact doesn’t stop with sustainability. She also donates 25% of her profits to Wildcare Australia, supporting the rescue and protection of native wildlife.
From designing her own logo to refining her products based on customer feedback, Ayla’s passion, creativity, and commitment to the environment make her a shining example of what it means to be an Enterprising Girl. She reminds us all that entrepreneurship isn’t about age — it’s about heart, purpose, and courage to act on an idea.
